Ted and Miranda always include us in their crazy schemes. I remember once waking up in the middle of Lake Superior after Ted insisted we spend the night aboard his boat so we could get an early start on our fishing expedition. Sometime during the night the moorings came loose and we drifted far from the dock. We awoke to the sight of Ted peeing overboard, shouting, “Ahoy Mates! Lookout! Water, water everywhere!” The only thing I can hope is that Ted doesn’t rise for the national anthem when the fireworks start and knock Miranda into the swimming pool. Again.

Once again, it’s time for some flash fiction. Brought to you courtesy of Friday Fictioneers. This week’s prompt supplied by David Stewart. Have a safe 4th of July everyone!
