Last night we attended the United Way leadership appreciation event at the Dallas Arboretum and Botanical Garden where the amazing work of Dale Chihuly is currently on display. This gifted artist’s work is a must see at least once in your life. The event included a private concert by the Limelight Band and a picnic dinner from Highland Park Cafeteria. United Way provides financial support to organizations that help families leave poverty permanently and live healthy, responsible lives. We are fortunate to be able to participate in their efforts. Here are photos I took as we strolled through the arboretum and pretended it was our own private garden.
It was a magical evening.
The Arboretum looks wonderful, even without the enhancement of the Chihuly glass. These are much the same as the ones at the Desert Botanical Garden. So beautiful!

Lovely. Thanks for providing the experience of visiting the Arboretum through your pictures. And Binky showed up, too! How fitting.
Thank you Sarah. There were bunnies everywhere as the sun was setting they came out to play. The pics hardly do it justice.
Honie, these are so so beautiful!!! What a great time, good music/food and gorgeous surroundings. What could be better? Thanks for sharing. :).
Hey Lady, thank you, yes it was a great time. The weather was perfect and there were so many kids on the lawn at the concert dancing and having fun. That was really great. I took the cover photo for Summoning the Strength there last year and this year too I captured some excellent shots at the tulip festival. I love the arboretum.
